Whisper Remain
This project investigates the myths and cultural practices surrounding red pandas in the Himalayan region, exploring how symbolic meanings ascribed by human societies often obscure the animals’ ecological roles and real-life vulnerabilities.
In many traditions, red pandas are regarded as symbols of good fortune such as being featured in ceremonial hats during weddings. However, these cultural projections frequently overshadow their biological needs and lead to imbalanced conservation efforts.
